BiBi Sherifa Khan is a former staff member of the United Nations where she served across the organization for more than 26 years. She was research assistant on the social dimension of poverty and unemployment for 10 years, contributing to the flagship Report on the World Social Situation.

BiBi also served as President of the United Nations Staff Union in New York where she focused on workplace issues such as the administration of justice, harassment and abuse of power, mental health and civility in the work environment. BiBi has a Bachelors degree in Political Affairs and post graduate studies in International Law.
