Lady Joseph is a practicing Attorney-at-Law, since 1987. Firstly as Partner with the legal firm of Chapman Trotman in Guyana and presently she is the managing partner of the law firm of Joseph & Joseph in Grenada.
She is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, the Hugh Wooding Law School and the University of London where she obtained a “Masters” in Law and Development.
She pursued post -graduate training as a Fellow at the University of Defense Washington, USA in Hemispheric Defense Studies and the University of Gainesville Florida USA in Public Utilities Regulation Strategy.
Lady Joseph is the Chairperson of Grenada’s Integrity Commission and has served on the this Commission from January 2011 to present and is a Commonwealth Subject matter Expert on Anti -Corruption Benchmarks. She is a past Chairperson of the Commonwealth Caribbean Association of Integrity Commissions and Anti-Corruption Bodies and continues to serve on the Executive of the Association as its Vice President, representing Grenada.
She is also the current Chairperson of Grenada’s Customs Appeal Commission.
Lady Joseph has a committed passion for advocacy on rule of law, democracy, anti -corruption, human rights, anti-corruption, sustainable development and social justice issues and is a Board Member of the Sweet Water Foundation- an organization, which works with children and adolescents who have survived child sexual abuse and a member of GNCRC and GNOW.
As she grew in her advocacy and activism for empowerment of women in leadership, including self- development, she assumed the role of President of the regional NGO: The Caribbean Women in Leadership (CIWiL) which has members across the Caribbean region, and national chapters in seven countries and growing. She spends much time working with women in leadership through training, development and the implementation of a Project with Parl Americas: Promoting Women’s Political leadership funded by the Government and People of Canada, along with projects led by UN WOMEN, the OAS, the Equality Fund, aand the Commonwealth Secretariat .
As an organizational leader and team member of diverse national and regional organizations she served as: Chairperson of the Tourism and Hospitality Association of Guyana; President of the Guyana Association of Women Lawyers, President of the Guyana Bar Association, Chairperson of the Grenada National Coalition on the Rights of the Child; Chairperson of Grenada’s Adoption Board; Solicitor General of Grenada, Commissioner of Grenada’s National Telecoms Regulatory Commission, Board member of Petro Caribe Grenada, and is a Past President of the Grenada Bar Association.
As consultant for Internationally funded USAID, UNICEF, OAS, UNWOMEN (formerly UNIFEM) and Commonwealth Secretariat projects, she contributed to several hallmark national reports on rule of law and human rights issues including Grenada’s Beijing+20 national review, Sexual Harassment Position for GNOW, A National Strategy to End Gender-Based Violence and a Gender Equality Position for Constitution Reform and juvenile justice.

Represented Grenada’s civil society- child rights and women’s organisations at the United Nations in Geneva Switzerland, for delivery of shadow country reports reported to the United Nations’ Committees overseeing the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and on Women the Convention for the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women.
Represented Grenada at the Commonwealth Expert Meeting on Anti-Corruption Benchmarks
Attends many national and regional meetings in furtherance of her areas of expertise.

Was the Principal consultant and co author of a multi country Study on Juvenile Justice for UNICEF, focusing on four Caribbean Countries: Guyana, Jamaica, Belize and Suriname and other UNICEF documents.
Lady Joseph is a wife, mother, grandmother, published poet and concert soloist.
