Nomination Criteria

Shine the light on rising entrepreneurs by nominating leaders under the age of forty who are making an impact in business and/or, philanthropy, and in their communities. Nominees must be 39 years of age or younger through December 31, 2021.

The Nominee

  • Young achiever who is actively engaged in remarkable, impactful work in business, such as Trading, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Technology, Art, Entertainment, Health & Fitness, Social Activism, Fashion, Beauty, Education, Law, etc., as well as in community.
  • Must be under the age of 40 up to December 31, 2021. In the case of entities with multiple co-founders, ALL co-founders must also be under the age of 40.
  • Must be a Guyanese citizen.
  • Must have created and/or work in a leadership role in the business under consideration for at least one (1) year.
  • Must not have previously received this award.

The Business

  • Must be legally registered in Guyana.
  • Can be any size, headquartered and operated within Guyana for at least the last three (3) years.
  • Can be in any sector, private, public or not-for-profit.
  • Must have a demonstrated track record of scalability, with reasonable long-term prospects.

The Vision

  • Must be innovative, either offering a new product or service in Guyana, or a different means of operation in an existing segment.

The Impact

  • Demonstrated change agent, reflected through social media, community influence and/or market adjustments.
  • Readily available testimonials (2) from clients, business partners, investors or beneficiaries.

August 31, 2021: Nomination deadline.
September 15, 2021: Deadline to submit nominee’s online application.
October 15, 2021: The list of 2021 Awardees is published.
November TBD, 2021: Brand YOUth’s 40 Under 40 Entrepreneurial Awards Ceremony.
