Lourdeth Ferguson has worked for the United Nations for over 20 years where she has held several positions including as Liaison to the Group of 77 and China. She currently serves as an Executive Board Officer with the United Nations Population Fund, the reproductive health arm of the organization.
Lourdeth is a philanthrope and enjoys sharing her time and resources, particularly with young people. Presently, she serves on various Boards as a Director including the youth-focused We Are Gutsy Inc., and as the New York Tri-State Liaison of the Bishop High School Alumni Association.
Educated at the New Comenius Preparatory and at the Bishops High Schools, she obtained a Bachelor of Social Science in Sociology in 1994 at the University of Guyana and a Master of Social Science in Social Sciences from Long Island University in New York, USA.
Lourdeth is the proud mother of 2 young adult daughters. She enjoys reading, traveling, and conducting candid conversations.
