Viola Morgan is an international development executive with experience in policy and program development; gender, women’s leadership, and empowerment, within complex and varied environments. Leadership roles involved high level discussions and decisions with Governments, international development institutions, civil society, private sector, global and regional organizations.
Pioneering initiatives included: good governance approaches, review of electoral processes and legal frameworks to ensure the greater participation of women in elections; entrepreneurship strategies to enhance economic empowerment of women; to strengthen the role of women in the media and support for journalists’ reporting on gender issues; inclusion of women in the design and implementation of peace process. Global outreach responsibilities covered Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean and the US.
