Contributors are purpose-driven individuals who are willing to serve. They believe in the Brand YOUth’s vision and, in some way, have contributed to their communities, their families, places of work, or studies. Committed, driven, and respectful, they understand it’s not only about personal benefits but using their knowledge and skills to empower others and fulfill needs.
Join Brand YOUth and experience personal growth through contributing, interacting, networking, and sharing ideas and skills. Become a part of our growing Resource Library of experiences, knowledge, thought leadership, and life skills, motivated to serve the public good. More than access to such a community is the opportunity to do good for Guyana and serve your country and communities in a greater capacity.
How are Contributors and Honorees related?
Life skills are equally as important as entrepreneurial skills. Honorees are contributors. Contributors are honorees in waiting. Both are members of Brand YOUth. Meet, inspire, mentor, create, generate ideas, innovate, and collaborate with a community of other like-minded individuals working towards developing Guyana.
What do Contributors want?
- They want to give back, and contribute to their society in a meaningful way.
- They want meaning, passion, and balance.
- They want to build their life around the things that activate, energize, and inspire them. Things that express all those truths that make up who they are at their core.
- They want to make an impact through their endeavors, buck the status quo, and forge a path that is uniquely theirs.
- They want to live from a deeper, truer place.
Applying knowledge and skills to benefit others
Our country faces formidable challenges that demand the next generation be capable leaders with skills in critical thinking, an extensive understanding of public life, diverse perspectives, global awareness, and the ability to collaborate with diverse groups.
Imagine a Guyana
Imagine a Guyana where young people are motivated to interact with those who are different in beliefs, gender, politics, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religion. Imagine a Nation whose young people are determined to make a difference and committed to Guyana, community, and excellence. Imagine if they had the right platform, more resources, and are taught and encouraged to be more resourceful. Let’s encourage them to reject [cannot-ism], pessimism and racism, and embrace [Guyana-ism].

The Brand YOUth Contributor Program is an invitation to commitment and responsibility. What does this mean?
Contribute with Brand YOUth, and you are contributing your time and energy not just for personal gain, but national gain. Everything you do must in some way benefit our country; this is the culture and ethos of this community. This program is an opportunity to take charge and commit yourself to the responsibility of achieving a greater Guyana.
The collective minds and spirits that make up Brand YOUth devote themselves to the future of our country. It is an honor to be included in this community.

My business creates a pathway for me to do this as I get to employ young girls for projects, and at the same time, create a teaching environment so that they get to learn my craft. Over the years, I’ve adapted the ‘do it together’ mentality because there is no way I can achieve all that I want for my personal life and business by myself. Being a Brand Youth Contributor aligns with that goal as it allows me the opportunity to be part of something that’s bigger than myself and to make a greater impact that goes beyond me.

The Brand YOUth Contributor segment brings in a crucial portion of youth development and entrepreneurship. It allows those who have gone before or hold interest in the development of young people the ability to help them dream, and to posit ideas and initiatives to catapult their growth in whatever way they can. We’re all at different levels of development, but the fact that they can commit, stay connected and have an input or invest in some way is important.
It takes a village

Contributors bring a great sense of teamwork and camaraderie to an organization by being involved and working closely with people from different cultures and walks of life. Every contributor has some skill, experience or knowledge that can be of service to a good cause.
