On January 19, 2018, Ms. Anije Lambert and Mr. Selwyn Collins of Conversations With Selwyn (CWS) organized and produced Brand YOUth’s first Women’s Empowerment Event, “Emerging Through Generations.’

Even though the conference attracted all women, it was primarily for the young women who appeared on two CWS web TV series, Guyanese Youth in Business and Guyanese Youth in Review. 

The featured speaker at the event was Ms. Sherry Ann Dixon, an author, speaker and global transformational life coach.

This Event Focused On Women For Several Reasons:

  • There needs to be an elevated conversation about the plight of women who are still being treated as second class citizens in every sector;
  • It isn’t the same way of doing business but a way that includes women’s full participation and contributions to all aspects of national life.

Brand YOUth promotes community, social cohesion, and education, and would like women to walk away from this event with an expanded sense of self.
