Our Goal For The International Women’s Day (IWD):
The IWD event was a celebration to uplift, empower and equip women and girls to be their best selves, and to create a forum of women and girls to provide input regarding issues for women of all ages. The event focused on women because there needs to be an attitude of not the same way of doing business but a way that includes women’s participation and contributions to all aspects of national life.

Here is why our Now, #PressforProgress event was special:
- Brand YOUth hosted the IWD event to showcase a panel of talented women who have navigated their way to success.
- The event specifically focused on empowering young women to establish balanced relationships, to be in charge of their health and well-being, and to build self-confidence.
- It evoked honest sharing about the challenges of leaving one’s job to embark on entrepreneurship.
- Combining parenthood with freelance life and how to get your first customer.
Brand YOUth promotes community, gender equality, self-empowerment, social cohesion, and education. We wanted women to walk away from this event with an expanded sense of self, but they got more. These women understood the difference between earning a living and creating a life of fulfillment.
