Selwyn Collins is the founder and CEO of Brand YOUth Global Inc., a storytelling-driven movement committed to cultivating confident, creative, and economically empowered young people across Guyana and the diaspora. An author, host, and coach, he uses narrative, conversation, and carefully curated experiences to help people see—and step into—their own power.

A lifelong writer, Selwyn is the author of The eartHeart Knows and the architect of the expanding eartHeart and Shade of Ebony universes, where memoir, reflection, and fiction meet to explore identity, purpose, and the “kingdom within.” His work blends poetic insight with practical guidance, inviting readers to confront fear, honor their stories, and move with intention.

He is also the creator and host of Conversations With Selwyn (CWS), a webTV series launched in 2012 that amplifies underrepresented voices—artists, activists, entrepreneurs, educators, and everyday visionaries—through intimate, long-form conversations. The show has been recognized by the Young, Gifted & Black organization and the Guyana Cultural Association (New York) for its innovation in digital media and its role in bridging cultural divides.

In 2022, Selwyn envisioned and produced the Brand YOUth Global International Women’s Forum, a seven-week online series featuring more than 35 women from multiple generations and countries in candid, courageous dialogue. In 2025, he returned to Guyana to host the inaugural Brand YOUth Global Entrepreneurial Awards, celebrating young innovators, builders, and change-makers.

Selwyn’s work has earned multiple honors, including the RESET Award (2025), reflecting his ongoing commitment to service, creativity, and nation-building through storytelling.

When asked what steadies him in uncertain times, he returns to a simple mantra:

“Fear not what fear whispers to you. Fear your obedience to it.”
