My name is Jenel Roberts. I’m a new full time entrepreneur and professional crafter who recently left the corporate world to pursue my dream of running my own business and creating my own brand – All Things Handmade. From my home, I’ve sold more than a million handmade cards, something I’m absolutely grateful about. I started making handmade cards as a teenager because I couldn’t find one that said the specific things that I wanted to say. Once I discovered that I was really good at making these cards it became a passion for me. It gave me the chance to personalize something that people really love and enjoy receiving, which made them feel special and celebrated.

For me, it’s never just about giving a card. It’s about extending a message of care, love and appreciation to the receiver. I am fulfilled by the smiles on their faces when they speak of that warm fuzzy feeling they feel. I love that it sends a message that says – this card was made just for you. Recently, I expanded my business to provide a service of personalized packaging and gifts.

I put my heart and passion into everything I create. By nature I’m gregarious, and I’m intentional about using this quality to understand what customers want to say to the recipients of their cards and gift packages. It’s the essence of what my business offers. I’m known for being resilient and determined; and with those two qualities, I’ve always managed to be solution oriented.

My aspiration since I was a child is to continually pursue the best version of myself, be of service to my community, and as much as I could, I’d give as I receive. My business creates a pathway for me to do this as I get to employ young girls for projects, and at the same time, create a teaching environment so that they get to learn my craft.

Over the years, I’ve adapted the ‘do it together’ mentality because there is no way I can achieve all that I want for my personal life and business by myself. Being a Brand Youth Contributor aligns with that goal as it allows me the opportunity to be part of something that’s bigger than myself and to make a greater impact that goes beyond me.

As I look at the bigger picture I can see that my business is just an extension of who I am as a person. It allows me to live a teenage dream I couldn’t see or imagine happening. On the lighter side of things, I enjoy cooking, because it helps my mind to relax, creating, because it helps my mind to explode, and crafting, because it fuels my talent and skills.

My friendships and the people close to my heart are my life’s biggest blessing!

There’s nothing that can replace that.

My ultimate life goals are: to live life completely fulfilled within myself, despite of whatever season I’m in and to always have a heart posture of gratitude.

YOU too can make a difference!
