Dr. Veronica Wiltshire is a board certified general pediatrician and the Chief Medical Officer for United Health Centers, a federally qualified community health center with three clinic sites located in Winston Salem, North Carolina .
She received her Bachelor of Science degree from St Francis College in Brooklyn New York and her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica. She completed her pediatric residency program at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Wiltshire is the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships, including: the 2019 “Women of Influence” Award from the Guyanese Girls Rock Foundation; “2019 Special Recognition Education Award” from the American Academy of Pediatrics for her contributions in Education; and the 2018 Danny Glover “Women of Power” Award for empowering rural women and girls. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Health Education Relief Organization (HERO) an international volunteer global health service organization.
Dr. Wiltshire’s interests include community health and advocacy. Her goal is to ensure community clinics give quality care and excellent service to those under insured and to those without insurance. She gives of her time to mentor many minority students who are interested in medicine and empowers young women to be confident and strive to be leaders in their fields. She enjoys spending time with her family, writing poems and watching movies. Dr. Wiltshire is married with three sons and a baby girl.
