I am 25 years of age and I am happily married and a father to a beautiful baby girl. My hobbies are doodling with technology and, a bit cliche but, watching a nice movie. I also enjoy a nice game of billiard pool.

I am the eldest of three siblings. My father is a business man and has been in business practically all his life and my mother works in operations and inventory for my business. Speaking about business, I am an entrepreneur and proprietor of a fast food business in Guyana, Chicken ‘n’ Burger Delight, which is located over the West Coast of Demerara. The scope of my responsibilities revolve around daily management of the business, strategic decision making, budgeting and more. I manage approximately 25 to 30 employees.

  1. How did you arrive at the idea for your business?

The idea for Chicken ‘n’ Burger Delight was actually a team effort. Originally, the building in which the business now sits was not meant for a fast food. After much deliberation on a lucrative business venture, a joint decision was made by family and friends that a fast food would be ideal when considering the location, foot traffic and commerce activity in the area.

  1. What was your key driving force to become an entrepreneur?

In short, I have always found the freedom of an entrepreneur exciting. The idea of having that independence to explore new ideas, methods, best practices and innovation without restriction is one that I have always dreamt about.

  1. What has been your most satisfying moment in business?

  1. What piece of advice would you give to other young people who want to become entrepreneurs?
