Misha is a passionate advocate for mental health and people development. Through her work, she has dedicated the past five years to counseling vulnerable children and families under various project initiatives aimed at preventing and eliminating gender-based violence, institutionalization of at-risk youths and child abuse.
She started her social work career after completing a Diploma in Social Work at the University of Guyana in 2014. Misha loves engaging with children and believes they are quite resilient even when faced with the effects of violence, loss, poverty and abuse.
On the personal side of things, Misha is fun-loving, spontaneous, free-spirited and quite adventurous. What brings her joy? Misha loves to explore different cultures, food and scenery and describes it as essential for her wellbeing. She is currently expanding her knowledge and expertise by pursuing a Bachelor’s in Tourism Studies.
Misha is a firm believer in making a positive impact in the lives of people and will continue to use her knowledge to educate, sensitize and motivate others for a better Guyana.
