Brand YOUth’s inaugural women’s empowerment event — a historic first that planted the seed for everything that followed.

Women’s Empowerment

Partnership with CWS

BYG’s First Event

“What began as one evening became a lasting legacy of empowerment.”
The Origin

A Historic Beginning

Founded by Selwyn Collins, Brand YOUth launched its first women’s empowerment event in partnership with Conversations With Selwyn (CWS). The event honored Ms. Anije Lambert — a 40 Under 40 honoree — alongside outstanding women from CWS’s acclaimed web series Guyanese Youth in Business and Guyanese Youth in Review.

International transformational coach Ms. Sherry Ann Dixon headlined the evening, inspiring attendees with powerful lessons on shattering glass ceilings, building intergenerational success, and creating purpose-driven leadership.

THE BYG EXCHANGE
  • Amplifying Guyanese women’s achievements at a time they were underrepresented on public platforms
  • Connecting established and emerging leaders across generations — not as a one-off, but as a foundation
  • Challenging the equality gap head-on: women as essential architects of Guyana’s future, not afterthoughts
  • Proving that one room, one evening, and one shared purpose could change the trajectory of a movement

“Equality isn’t women’s issue — it’s Guyana’s competitive advantage.”

This event established Brand YOUth’s commitment to creating platforms for meaningful dialogue and set the tone for the Women’s Forum Series that would follow four years later.
“A single purpose-driven entrepreneur has the potential to change the world. Imagine what a community of them can do.”
