As a longtime friend of Brand YOUth, we were pleased to make Komal Singh an honorary member of Brand YOUth because of his commitment to Guyana and youth development. We selected Komal Singh because he embodies the purpose-driven businessman. In the words of this national treasure as reflected in an article in Brand YOUth’s commemorative journal, written by Allison Skeete:

  • What was your key driving force to becoming an entrepreneur? “Making profits was never my key driver when it comes to being an entrepreneur, I was mostly driven and still is by the fact that I can put a smile on the face of a family by creating jobs for the less unfortunate and living standards an conditions of their family. I measure success by not how much money I make but how much lives I can change on an annual basis in a positive way.
  • Tell me about a time that you messed up. How did you fix it? “I have one simple philosophy. If you cannot accept that you made a mistake then you are deem to make it again. Be mindful of what you do and say, and you should never have to worry if it gets into the public domain. Let your principle and your ethics be your guiding light.”
